California Hospital Medical Center has been on the frontlines of health care in Los Angeles for over 130 years, continuously growing and developing into exactly the hospital that Los Angeles needs at each distinct period in this city’s history.

Today, as hospitals play an ever larger role in the overall wellness and stability of their communities, California Hospital is again responding to the diverse priorities of a changing city.

As we look towards the future, we must increase our capacity and ensure that we can continue to provide top-quality care for anyone that walks in our door. We must invest in the programs and people that make us more than “just a hospital.” We must serve as an access point to programs and services that address the root causes of poor health to help people lead more productive and fulfilling lives. We must address social determinants of health and systemic racism by engaging with underserved communities in a more robust and personalized way.

The Your City, Your Hospital Campaign is how we will do this. By making strategic investments in our future, we will be prepared to lead for the next 130 years.
